THE LABYRINTH & DESCENT INTO THE UNDERWORLD
In this online talk and virtual tour of the Keith Critchlow Study Space (which is located at Emerson College in Forest Row, East Sussex, UK), Tom Bree will guide you through the meaning and symbolism of the labyrinth, focusing on Chartres Cathedral’s labyrinth which formed a huge part of Keith Critchlow’s own research and body of work.
There are many unpublished manuscripts and findings within the Keith Critchlow Library & Studio Space.
Tom Bree studied and remained close to Keith throughout his life, sharing much of his own research with Keith. You can see and read Tom’s amazing research in his new book: The Cosmos in Stone: Sacred Geometry of a Master Mason
Keith in turn shared his own research and findings with Tom and we’re thrilled to be able to invite Tom to the studio to share discoveries from both Keith and Tom, relating to labyrinths, with a special focus on Chartres.
You can join this talk and virtual studio tour from anywhere in the world as this talk will be online via zoom.
Tom will take you through meaning and symbolism in a slide presentation online and show you inside the KCL Library & Studio Space + you will be shown how to construct your own simple Cretan Labyrinth at home during this talk.
